Hitachi Chemical's Material Development Toward Innovation In Flexible Electronics (Printed Electronics USA 2016)

Hitachi Chemical has been developing innovative materials for various industries including: electronics, automotive components, and batteries.

This presentation will focus on our innovative materials for flexible electronics such as copper paste, stretchable encapsulant and shock resistant materials; as well as introduce a new co-operative approach with customers and competitors for the development of next generation materials.

Mr. Yasushi Sugimoto joined Hitachi Chemical in 1983. He is responsible for advanced functional materials. His major is Chemistry in Tokyo Institute of Technology, Tokyo, Japan. He has ever developed imaging device-related products such as organic photoconductors, liquid crystal alignment materials, color filter materials, holographic optical elements, optical films for back light unit and optically clear adhesives.

Hitachi Chemical Co., Ltd. was established in 1962, independent from Hitachi Ltd., and the headquarter is located in Tokyo. In 2010, paid-in capital was 15,454 million Japanese YEN, non-consolidated sales was 263 billion Japanese YEN, and the number of employee is 4,095. The principal lines of business are electronics related materials, advanced performance resins & materials, life-science & pharmaceuticals, carbon & ceramics, and automotive related products.
