Speaker Biography (Malcolm Thompson)
Malcolm is CEO of the Nano-Bio Manufacturing Consortium. He has over 25 years experience in the display industry and is a recognized worldwide authority. Dr. Thompson was Chief Technologist at the famous Xerox Palo Alto Research Center (PARC), responsible for the advanced development and commercialization of revolutionary new imaging systems. He eventually left PARC to lead one of these spin offs dpiX, Inc. as the President and CEO. He was the founder and Chairman of the Board of USDC, now FlexTech Alliance. He was the founder of 3 companies and raised over $300m in private equity and government financing. He has been on the Board of directors of 3 public companies and several private companies.

The Nano-Bio Manufacturing Consortium (NBMC) for the U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) has been formed by FlexTech Alliance in collaboration with a nationwide group of partners. Its mission is to bring together leading scientists, engineers, and business development professionals from industry and universities to work collaboratively to create an integrated suite of nano-bio manufacturing technologies and transition them to production. Initial activities focus on AFRL/DoD priorities, including, physiological readiness and human performance monitoring.
