Speaker Biography (Guozhong Cao)

Dr. Guozhong Cao is Boeing-Steiner Professor of Materials Science and Engineering and Adjunct Professor of Chemical and Mechanical Engineering at the University of Washington. He received his PhD from Eindhoven University of Technology (the Netherlands). He has published over 200 refereed papers, and authored and edited 4 books and 3 conference proceedings on nanotechnology. Currently, Dr. Cao serves as editor of Annual Review of Nano Research and associate editor of Journal of Nanophotonics. His current research is focused mainly on nanomaterials for energy related applications including solar cells, lithium ion batteries, supercapacitors and hydrogen storage materials.
