Speaker Biography (Robert Reed)

Robert Reed started FE Technologies back in 2006, and installed its first RFID based library system in November 2007. Since then FE Technologies has installed RFID systems in 250 libraries throughout Australia and New Zealand, and has recently secured its first Asian contract for a further 29 libraries. Apart from libraries, Fe Technologies is developing systems for retail stock management and vehicle tracking.

Becoming interested in the concept of fully printed RFID tags, FE Technologies joined up with Monash University in Melbourne, with funding support from the Australian Research Council and the Victorian Government, as part of a $1.5m research project, to develop a printed RFID "barcode" and reader.
