Speaker Biography (Sabine Renker)

Dr. Renker started her career in 2005 with Merck KGaA in Darmstadt where she worked in the field of nano-particle development for UV-protection for coatings.
Following this she managed from 2008-2010 the joined R&D lab of Merck and TU Darmstadt (MerckLab), focusing on the development of printed inorganic electronics. Since 2011 she is Head of Advanced Technologies R&D Japan (Concept Lab Japan), with the strategic focus on optoelectronics and energy. It is tasked with supporting existing businesses, developing new products for markets with mid and long-term growth potential, and scouting the Japanese scientific landscape to identify new potential collaboration partners for Merck.
