Speaker Biography (Roy Vellaisamy)Roy completed his PhD in 2004 on light emitting materials, mainly on ESR (Electron Spin Resonance) analysis of organic materials. For his post-doctoral studies, he focused on the growth of various organic molecules for light emitting transistors (LET) and opto-electronic characterization of LETs. In 2004, he joined the Department of Chemistry at The University of Hong Kong and he focused on various molecular materials for electronic device applications. Currently, as an associate professor, he is leading a group of Physicists, Chemists and Engineers for the fabrication of functional self-assembly materials for various electronic devices and integration of such devices for printed electronics and energy harvesting devices.
