Speaker BiographyBen Sperling is director of Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) Programs for McKesson Provider Technologies. In this role, he provides executive-level oversight and leadership for McKesson's RFID research, development and product commercialization efforts. He is responsible for establishing a focused and unified strategy for the development and long-term maturing of RFID technology in McKesson's systems. Prior to this position, Sperling served in McKesson's Business Partner Group. Before joining McKesson in 2002, he was director of Strategic Alliances for Epicentic (now Vignette, Inc.). Sperling was vice president and chief operating officer for Application Park, Inc. when it was acquired by Epicenter in 2001. He spent his early career with On-Demand Software Consultants, where as chief operating officer he helped grow the business more than 100 percent annually for four straight years. Sperling earned a bachelor of science in business management from the University of North Carolina in Wilmington, N.C.
