Speaker Biography (Rolf Schmid)Dr. Rolf Schmid is of age 39, born in Ulm/Danube in southern germany. After a study of physics he prepared his thesis on molecular dynamics simulations and started to work for the now T-Systems, former debis Systemhaus GEI GmbH in 1999. For almost six years his topic was military avionics in projects for the EADS Deutschland GmbH as subcontractor of boeing, since three years he started to involve in RFID - especially technical consulting and project management. Projects involve internal research projects of the Deutsche Telekom, as well as projects in automobile, avionics, and retail industry. Consulancy was given in the european context, especially Sweden and Denmark, as well as in the US. He is one of the originators and now involved in the development of T-Systems 'RightTime Enterprise Services (RES)', a service platform in setup to provide managed services for customers of all branches with special respect to RFID/AutoID solutions.
