These may include barcode, passive RFID, active RFID, remote sensors, mesh networks, Wi-Fi, RTLS, GPS and cellular solutions. Best-of-breed technologies incorporated into a hybrid RFID architecture will not only fulfill the promise of asset visibility, but they can be combined in an application-specific manner to suit future requirements for cost and functionality. Speaker BioDr. Nissim Ozer has served as RF Code's Chief Technology Officer and Executive Vice President since July of 2000. Prior to joining RF Code, Dr. Ozer served as a consultant with International Consulting where he designed algorithms and programmed client server systems in a variety of markets. Previously, Dr. Ozer served as Director of IT and Senior Developer at UStel, where he managed Information Systems departments in Las Vegas and Seattle and developed artificial intelligence algorithms and rapid data processing software. During the early 1990s, Dr. Ozer was a Graduate and Postdoctoral Research Associate at Purdue University, where he focused on artificial intelligence algorithms. At Purdue he also coordinated a binational (USA-Israel) sensor-development research project where he held managerial and budgetary responsibilities. Prior to attending Purdue University, Dr. Ozer was an Analysis and Design Engineer for El-Op in Rehovot, Israel. Dr. Ozer serves as chair of the AIM Global Software/Middleware Work Group and is a board member of UCLA's RFID@WINMEC program. Dr. Ozer earned a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Ben-Gurion University in Beer-Sheeva, Israel, a M.S. from the School of Engineering, Technion at the Israel Institute of Technology in Haifa, Israel, and a Ph.D. from Purdue University.
