Donny V. Lee is President of AWID. Since founding AWID in 1997, Mr. Lee had successfully transitioned AWID from a research-oriented company to a profitable operation with sharp market focus, clear technology leadership and with increasing market shares. Mr. Lee managed the successful entry into the security/access market, developed a family of industry leading multi-protocol UHF handheld & fixed readers readers for the supply chain markets, and achieving the widest protocol interoperability with AWID's MPR family of readers.
 
Before founding AWID, Mr. Lee was the VP and GM of Electronics Systems Division (ESD) of Aeroflex Labs, which specialized in the development of radar receivers, weather radars and microwave landing receivers. Born in China, Mr. Lee holds degrees in MSEE from the University of Massachusetts and BSEE from the University of Kansas.
