Speaker Bio

Reinhard Baumann joined MAN Roland's Digital Printing Business Unit in 1999 as the Head of the Business IT, Logistics and Services Department. Today he is heading the development of industrial solutions for printing functionalities other than color, among them electrical conductivity and semi conductivity.
 
He graduated from the Leipzig University in Physics and holds a Ph. D. in Chemical Physics from the Technische Hochschule Leipzig with a thesis on laser induced polymerization. His research interests focused on areas of Physical Chemistry and Electrical Engineering of organic materials for polymer electronics at the University of Bonn and at the IBM Almaden Research Center in San Jose / CA. The results of this research have been published in several journal and conference papers and patents.
