The goal of these projects is to understand the effectiveness of software solutions based on the EPC Information Service standard. In this session, IBM will present a system built in collaboration with one of the largest pharmaceutical companies in the world. We will explore the reasons why leading companies are investing now in systems for Sensor Information Management. IBM will discuss lessons learned and best practices for building a large scale, mission critical RFID data capture and information management infrastructure that does not slow down crucial manufacturing or supply chain processes. The session also will focus on how to use standards to enable secure sharing of select elements of your EPC data to build product authentication and electronic pedigree from distributed data.
