BatterySense Project works on development of next generation batteries
CPI is part of a project focused on next generation battery and sensor work. Operating alongside partners on the BatterySense programme, CPI is supporting work to reduce the size of existing wireless sensing form factors by exploiting additive manufacture. This allows for the intimate integration of batteries into the substrates of ultrathin label-like sensors fabricated by roll-to-roll processes.

CPI collaborates on smart filter project
The Centre for Process Innovation has collaborated on a project to advance the development of a low-cost, self-cleaning coating technology for industrial filter membranes. The Smart Filter project used graphene and its derivatives to create a coated filter membrane that offers increased resistance to fouling for industrial waste water treatment.
