ACWA Power's Rabigh 3 IWP Project Achieves Guinness World Record
ACWA Power announced that the company's Rabigh 3 Independent Water Plant in Saudi Arabia, has been recognised as the "world's largest reverse osmosis desalination facility" by the Guinness World Records, the ultimate global authority on record-breaking achievements.

World's Largest 3D Printed Logistics Vessel
Researchers have achieved a groundbreaking milestone in composite manufacturing with the production of two 3D-printed prototype logistics vessels for the US Department of Defense. The longer of the two vessels, the largest ever 3D-printed, simulates ship-to-shore movement of 20-foot containers representing equipment and supplies. The second vessel can transport a Marine rifle-squad with organic equipment and three days of supplies.

Tiny Robot Earns World Record
The creator hopes his robots can someday be used to solve tricky engineering problems by emulating talented creatures like squid or mice that can seamlessly squeeze themselves like liquid into tight places. Biology, particularly insects, still surpass their robotic counterparts in almost every aspect, but he hopes to develop robots in the next decade that are significantly better at mimicking natural systems.

Patrol boat created in 72 hours by 3D printer
The new 3D printer is designed to print objects as long as 100 feet by 22 feet wide by 10 feet high, and can print at 500 pounds per hour. The one-of-a-kind printer will support several ambitious initiatives, including development of biobased feedstocks using cellulose derived from wood resources, and rapid prototyping of civilian, defense and infrastructure applications.
