BMW has conducted a two-week pilot at a plant in Spartanburg, South Carolina, to use Figure AI's Figure 02 humanoid to fit sheet metal parts into precise fittings that were then assembled as part of a car chassis. BMW gave high compliments: "The developments in the field of robotics are very promising. With an early test operation, we are now determining possible applications for humanoid robots in production.
