The role of EPCglobal and Auto-ID Lab in Japan (Smart Labels Asia 2004)

 

Mr. Hiroshi Sakai is CEO and Senior Executive Director of DCC JAPAN (EAN JAPAN), which is a promotion body of EAN.UCC Systems and EPCglobal Network System.

 

He joined DCC JAPAN in January 2001. Prior to joining the DCC JAPAN, he graduated from Economics Faculty of Tokyo University and he had been engaged in the policy making and its implementation in the field of manufacturing, wholesale and retail industries including SMEs at ¡°Ministry of International Trade and Industry(MITI)¡± and ¡°Japan Small and Medium Enterprises Corporation¡± of Japanese government for about 30 years.

 

Now he is deeply involved in the various activities of EAN International and EPCglobal as a member of Management Board of EAN International and a member of Board of governors of EPCglobal.
