Biography

Poon Hong Yuen heads the Manufacturing and Services Division in the Industry Group. Hong Yuen is responsible for the promotion of Infocomm usage in Singapore¡¯s manufacturing, retail and finance sectors so as to enhance their competitiveness. He is also in charge of IDA¡¯s initiative to develop RFID as a new engine of growth for the Infocomm sector, and to promote the adoption of RFID as a tool to drive supply chain competitiveness.

Presentation Summary

Mr. Poon will be providing an overview of Singapore's RFID development strategy and highlight some progress to date. He will cover the frequency spectrum that Singapore has allocated for RFID applications, capability development programs and provide some case studies on RFID pilots in Singapore.
