Speaker BioDavid Margolese, Ph.D., is Vice President, Technology Development at ORFID Corporation. Two key application areas at ORFID are organic RFID and flexible OLED displays. Dr. Margolese manages ORFID's research and development efforts and in addition, is responsible for analyzing key industries, applications, intellectual property research, and develops corporate contacts to explore strategic partnering opportunities. He has more than 20 years of experience developing new materials and technologies in the semiconductor and related industries as well as extensive start-up experience in nanotechnology and semiconductor companies in technology and business development. He has consulted for companies engaged in a variety of technologies and he is author on 30 journal articles covering semiconductor technology, nanoparticle fabrication, sol-gel chemistry and catalysis. ORFID's mission is to develop applications in both displays and RFID based on novel organic electronic components with unique performance characteristics and with simple, inexpensive manufacturing processes.
