Our main mission is to create new echnologies and visions to assist the clients in developing new products and technology solutions. Our work is based on close cooperation with clients and other research institutions all over the world. Our basic values are client and demand orientation, sciencebased innovation, encouraging peak performances and genuine cooperation. The Optoelectronics research area creates and transfers new technology for the optoelectronics and the electronics industry. We have more than 60 qualified professionals involved in optical measurement technologies, optomechanics, optical modelling and design, micromodule technologies, optical materials as well as printable optics and electronics, and biomicrosystems in the largest optoelectronics research facility in Scandinavia. VTT Electronics has together with VTT Information technology and Finnish universities started the investigation of conventional rolltoroll capable printing techniques for the fabrication of optical, electrical and optoelectrical components. Our main goal is the development of enabling technologies for the printed optics and electronics and furthermore the realization of active modules which can be integrated into the product packages and printed matter using same manufacturing technologies which are currently in use in package and printed matter industry. |
