Presentation Summary

Graphene is a novel material which has attracted a lot of attention during the last years. In the context of the high expectations on its potential applications, several challenges which appear for semiconductor industry engagement in graphene technology, as indicators for a realistic assessment of the technological implementation potential and technological issues for graphene device fabrication, are discussed in this talk.

Speaker Biography (Guenther Ruhl)

Dr. Guenther Ruhl is Lead Principal for new materials working with Infineon Technologies since 1998. He has worked on several material topics, amongst them resistive memory materials and high-k dielectrics. Currently his work focuses on carbon materials for semiconductor applications. Prior to Infineon he held a research position at the Fraunhofer-Institute for Solid State Technology in Munich, Germany. He studied chemistry and received his Ph.D. at the Technical University Munich.
