Speaker Biography (Takuya Matsumoto)Biography: 1990, Ph. D. in Inorganic and Physical Chemistry, Osaka University 1990-1998, Research assitant, Institute of Scientific and Industrial Research (ISIR), Osaka University 1998-present, Associate Professor, ISIR, Osaka University 1993 Visiting researcher, Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST) 1997 Visiting lectureler Tokyo Institute of Technology (TIT) 2000-2005, Visiting researcher, National Institute of Information and Communication Technology (NICT) Company Profile (Osaka University)Cellulose nanofiber materials, ISIR, Osaka University Cellulose nanofibers with 4-20 nm width are bundles of cellulose microfibrils, which are frameworks of cell walls in all the plants. We have developed nano-fibrillation processes of bio-resources (wood, plants fibers, crabs, shrimps e.t.c.) and some advanced nanofiber materials with high optical transparency. Moreover, we have also improved their properties or processes to realize their applications in the electronic devices. |
