Speaker Biography (Ned Hardman)

Ned Hardman received his Ph.D. from UC Davis in Chemistry and then performed Postdoctoral work at Los Alamos and Ruhr Universitat in Bochum, Germany. While in Germany, Ned worked on Atomic Layer Deposition (ALD) onto Self Assembled Monolayers during his von Humboldt Fellowship. Since then, Ned worked at Cabot Corporation where he was instrumental in developing an inkjettable, low cure-temperature silver ink. He is experienced with surface and colloidal chemistry, and has fabricated and dispersed a variety of nanoparticle based metals, metal oxides, and carbon particles into stable inks for coatings and battery applications. Ned is now a Senior Project Manager at XG Sciences leading the development effort on inks, coatings, and general dispersion phenomena with XG Sciences proprietary graphene nanoplatelet products.
