Laiier is an early stage company that has developed a leak sensing system for buildings based on low-cost conductive inks. IDTechEx caught up with CEO Matt Johnson at Electronica 2022.

LAIIER addresses use cases that other sensor platforms cannot, and can outfit everything from an in-construction new build to a centuries-old landmark. LAIIER's big vision is to create physical and digital functionality on surfaces across the building, turning floors, ceilings, and walls into a mesh network of sensors that monitor a building's vital signs 24/7.

Bare Conductive is an early-stage company based in London UK, that has developed a cost-effective technology for large-area capacitive sensing. In 2021 it launched a spin-out brand 'LAIIER' to target industrial smart surface applications more effectively. IDTechEx interviewed CEO Matt Johnson to find out more about the latest developments.
