Taiwan-based company Leltek was showcasing LeSONO, a portable wireless ultrasound device. Although the image quality is not as clear as with traditional ultrasound machines, the company clarified that the aim is not to replace ultrasounds.

TensCare

IDTechEx spoke to TensCare, a company based in the UK that manufactures electrical stimulation devices for drug-free pain relief, incontinence and other applications.

Sonavi Labs

IDTechEx spoke to Sonavi Labs at Arab Health 2020. Sonavi Labs developed a digital stethoscope called Feelix. It is a digital screening and diagnostic device for respiratory conditions.

eKuore

IDTechEx interviewed Ekuore, a medical device company that developed a digital stethoscope called eKuore Pro. It records heart and lung sounds and analyses them using the company's proprietary algorithms.

Seers Technology

Seers Technology was exhibiting mobiCARE, a cardiac monitoring device designed for remote patient monitoring. It is a wearable skin patch that continuously monitors the patient's cardiac activity. The solution is CE marked and FDA approved.

Bittium

Bittium produce Bittium Faros, a wearable device for Holter and event monitoring as well as mobile cardiac telemetry (MCT). It can be either a one or three channel ECG.

Exosystems

IDTechEx interviewed Exosystems at their booth at CES 2020's Eureka Park. They are a Korean company that have developed a wearable muscular rehabilitation system including functional electrical stimulation (FES) and EMG.

CRISPR Could be Feasible for Fighting Cancer

Genetically-edited immune cells can persist, thrive, and function months after a cancer patient receives them, according to new data published by researchers. The team showed cells removed from patients and brought back into the lab setting were able to kill cancer months after their original manufacturing and infusion.

GT Cardio

IDTechEx met with the team from GT Cardio at their booth at CES 2020's Eureka Park. We discussed their products, and in particular their new watch and clip products which they are using to measure blood pressure.

Valencell

IDTechEx caught up with the team at Valencell once more at CES 2020. The key new innovation that they were introducing at the event was their options around blood pressure monitoring via a version of their reflective optical technique based on the PPG waveform.

WellsCare

IDTechEx spoke to WellsCare at their booth in CES 2020's Eureka Park. They demonstrated their device, IASO, which focuses on pain management using optical stimulation via lasers on the skin.

HiDow

IDTechEx spoke to HiDow at their booth in the Sands Expo of CES 2020. They are a company making electrical stimulation products including TENS, EMS and related areas, including both fitness products and medically qualified options.

Coin-Sized Smart Insulin Patch

Bioengineers have further developed a smart insulin-delivery patch that could one day monitor and manage glucose levels in people with diabetes and deliver the necessary insulin dosage. The adhesive patch, about the size of a quarter, is simple to manufacture and intended for once-a-day use.

Masimo is a global medical technology company that develops and manufactures innovative noninvasive patient monitoring technologies, including medical devices and a wide array of sensors.

AireHealth
