Africa is still facing a serious problem of energy access. On this immense continent, many cities remain off-grid. With a population of more than 200 million, Nigeria is a country comprising 36 states, only one of which has an electricity network.
Solar microgrid system for Nigeria Ministry of Power
The solar power plant will be mounted on carport and rooftop canopies and will generate 2.45 GWh of energy annually, reducing the Ministry's energy dependence on non-renewable power sources by 71% and reducing CO2 generation by 2,600 tonnes. The solution is fully integrated and scalable so that capacity can be increased over time as demand grows.
