Jungheinrich is the world's third largest manufacturer of intralogistics vehicles and number five in EVs as a whole.

OXIS Energy

Oxis Energy is a lithium sulphur battery technology developer company based in the UK. It is one of the few companies developing this technology. Targeting the automotive, defense and energy storage market the company has developed partnerships and received invesments from companies across the whole value chain of the electric vehicle industry.

Daimler AG

Daimler AG is a major automotive company with electric vehicle activities under Orion bus, Smart car, Mercedes car and commercial vehicle brands and other activities including an e-scooter. Its fuel cell development for EVs and roll out program is up with the global leaders.

Toda Kogyo Corp

Toda Kogyo offers nano particle production based on wet synthesis methods where they can control particle size (from 3nm to 1,000nm), shape, surface and particle size distribution.

Plextronics (Solvay OLED)

Plextronics is a private company founded in 2002 as a spinout from Carnegie Mellon University, based upon conductive polymer technology developed by Dr. Richard McCullough. The company is headquartered in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. In 2014 the company, having failed to find a buyer and running out of funds, scaled back and got acquired by Solvay.

Merck KGaA

Merck offer the Lisicon range of products for organic transistor based devices. They offer the organic materials for the full transistor stack (excluding the inorganic electrodes). Merck has active programs to improve the performance of both organic semiconductors, targeted a mobility of 10 cm2/Vs for the small molecule versions by 3Q 2014 and a mobility of 5 cm2/Vs for the polymer version by Q1 2015.

Sharp

Sharp launched its first IGZO TFT LCD mobile in 2012. Since then, it has launched a range of other products on the market using a metal oxide TFT backplane. It has repurposed some of its a-Si TFT plants to manufacture the IGZO TFT backplanes.

Feedback from Printed Electronics USA 2013

The IDTechEx Printed Electronics USA event in Santa Clara in November was attended by approximately 2,200 people and featured 160 exhibitors. Total hybrid & pure EV market will be US$334 billion by 2023

The total global gross value market for hybrid and pure electric vehicles will reach US$334 billion within the decade, from a current value of US$69 billion, forecast analysts IDTechEx.
