IDTechEx analysts attended CES 2020 in Las Vegas on 7-10th Jan 2020. The Consumer Electronics Show, organized by the Consumer Technology Association, is the largest electronics event in the world. CES 2020 has attracted over 170,000 in attendance during the four days.

At CES 2020 LIVOX announced a price reduction of their LIDAR units, with units starting at $599.

Energy Square

Powering Amazon HQ2 With 100% Renewable Energy

Pittsylvania County in Virginia will be the home of a new solar farm, which will power Amazon's new headquarters along with other Amazon-owned operations across the Commonwealth. The project is planned for completion by the summer of 2021. Amazon has contracted 82 megawatts of the new 120 MW solar farm, which is expected to generate 172,500 megawatt hours of renewable energy annually.
